Cat.8, like Cat.7, is double shielded (SFTP). It has two pairs of wires, 2000MHz ultra-high widescreen, transmission rate up to 40Gb/s, but its maximum transmission distance is only 30m, so it is generally used for the connection of servers, switches, distribution racks, and other equipment in short-distance data centers. Although the transmission distance of the class 8 line is short, the transmission rate and frequency bandwidth are far more than those of other classes. It is mainly used as a jumper for the interconnection of network equipment.
