The fiber optic patch panel is an important component in the cable management system, which makes the movement, change and maintenance of the wiring system more convenient. The fiber optic patch panel is applicable to jumper management of different fiber optic interface types. Usually, it can be divided into the LC fiber optic patch panel, the SC fiber optic patch panel, and the MTP/MPO fiber optic patch panel.
The cable management panel supports arranging cables. It has no direct relationship with the network transmission, which mainly simplifies the planning of the cross-connect system and facilitates the management of cables. To be specific, it can avoid the cable tension on the module, arrange the cable direction, reduce its signal loss and radiation interference to surrounding cables, and form a circuit system that is easy to maintain.
(1) Different functions
In general, the cable management panel is used together with the fiber optic patch panel to manage the cables of various jumpers on the front panel of the fiber optic patch panel. The fiber optic patch panel is mainly used to manage devices, such as verifying, identifying, testing and removing faulty cables.
(2) Different positions
The cable management panel is used in the cabinet, and is usually installed at the front end of the fiber optic patch panel and the switch. The fiber optic patch panel manages cables and protects switches between the switch and the terminal device. For small computer rooms, the fiber optic patch panel and the switch can be installed in the same cabinet and arranged in a cross line. For large data centers, the fiber optic patch panel is generally installed separately in the distribution cabinet.
(3) Different designs
The cable management panel has a D-ring design, which can effectively accommodate more cables. It has a double hinge cover plate to protect cables from damage and dust. The fiber optic patch panel has a digital coding design, which is convenient for cable installation and management. The high-density design of metal cold-rolled steel plates can prevent external electromagnetic interference more effectively.
1) Fix the cable management panel and the 1U fiber optic patch panel with screws.
2) Place the fiber optic adapter into the 1U fiber optic patch panel and fix it with screws. A 1U fiber optic patch panel can be installed with four 12-core LC adapter panels.
3) Insert the LC fiber optic jumper into the front panel of the fiber optic patch panel. 48 optical fibers can be contained in total.
4) Use the cable management panel to tie the cables.
